Drunken Strawberries with Mascerpone

 500g  strawberries,
100g castor sugar
300g marscarpone cheese
100ml Grand Marnier
100 ml Vodka
50ml Red Wine
50 ml Ale-Gar
2 fresh free range eggs whites
sprig of mint
and icing sugar to dust 


place the berries and sugar Red Wine, Ale-Gar,Vodka and Grand Marnier into a bowl and masserate for 15 mins

  1. meanwhile, whisk the egg whites in a clean bowl until light and firm peaks are formed

  2. In a seperate bowl beat the mascerpone and fold in the egg white

  3. chill 4 long presentation serving glasses and spoon a small amount of strawberries with the liquids then top with a little mascerpone layer, followed by a further layer of fruit and liquids and an additional layer of mascarpone.
    Repeat the process 3 or 4 times until an attractive alternating layer has been formed

  4. top the layer off with a sprig of mint and dusting of icing sugar
