Ingredients:

Homemade Mincemeat


 Use at home or give for gifts. 
100g (4oz) dried apricots chopped
100g raisins100g sultanas
50g (2oz) dried mixed peel50g chopped walnuts
100g shredded suet
1 tsp mixed spice
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
75g (3oz) dark brown sugar
2 oranges zest and juice
60ml brandy
60ml sweet sherry  
 
Method:

Method
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and coverLeave for 48 hours to steep.
Steralise the jars by dipping them in boiling water and leave to dry naturally on cooling wires.
Pack the mincemeat into jars and seal
