Peppered Pineapple



Preparation Time:
 
Notes: As cooked with King Goodwill Zwellethini
 
Ingredients:

25g (1oz) butter, softened
4 circular slices of pineapple approx ¼” / 1cm thick
5ml/1tsp fresh ground black pepper
5ml/1tsp castor sugar
 
Method:

Remove the skin from the pineaple and slice the flesh into 1 cm thisk circles
dab each circle with the butter then evenly sprinkle over the sugar and spices
wrapp in a sheet of baking foil and place into the oven or at the side of the BBQ to cook
When hot and soft, serve with a dollop of creme fraice or natural thick yoghurt or ice cream
