California Sushi Rolls

California Rolls(Inside Out) Serves 6 

Ingredients


 3 sheets nori seaweed
350g (12oz) prepared sushi rice
120g (4oz) crab meat
1 tsp limejuice
1 medium avocado (halved, stoned and sliced lengthways into thin strips)
6 tblsp keta salmon eggs/roe
1  piece of daikon radish (cut lengthways into thin strips

Method:

Method 



  1. Place the nori leaf onto a bamboo mat and very lightly brush with a little of the Ancient Greek vinegar

  2. Place the rice evenly over the leaf using your hands to press and spread

  3. Pick up the rice and turn it over on the mat on the centre

  4. Lay the crab, daikon, avocado and roe onto the nori leaf

  5. Smear a little wasabi paste down the sides (lengthways) of the leaf

  6. Lift up the near edge of the mat, holding the filling in place with your fingers

  7. Carefully roll the rice and nori leaf together until a cylindrical shape has been formed

  8. Open the mat

  9. Moisten a sharp knife with the Ancient Greek vinegar and cut each roll in half

  10. Place the two halves next to each other and make two more slices until you have six pieces of sushi in total
