Alan Scoops Unprecedented Double In International Recipe Awards - 14/07/08

Against strong competition from chefs throughout the world, Alan Coxon's 'Old English Lamb and Potato Pie' has been named The Best Potato Recipe In The World by the Peruvian Potato Council. Also given an Honourable Mention for his Potato and Celeriac Gratin (garnish), Alan is the only chef in the award's history to land two awards at the ceremony.

The judges were bowled over by Alan's dishes, despite working their way through several hundred other entries. Alan's "wonderful" recipes were also praised for their accessibility, being within reach for any level of chef.

To try the recipes yourself you'll have to watch out for Alan's forthcoming recipe book, due out later in the year.

Fancy Food Fair, New York - 14/07/08

Alan Coxon's acclaimed new Historic Food Range was given its American debut at the 54th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York.

The annual exhibition showcases speciality foods to thousands of the most influential buyers, distributors and media from within the specialist food industry in America.

Coxon, who was amongst the 5,000 exhibitors at the fair, received rave reviews for his Historic Vinaigres , and was delighted to be singled out: "Obviously I'm ecstatic at how much interest my vinegars have generated.   I believe I have a fantastic niche product for the whole of the Americas.   By launching my new range at this specialist fair in New York I hope to inspire the fine array of deli's and eateries this city has with some old and new ideas!".

New Historic Spices Launched - 14/07/08

Alan has now launched his historic range of Spice Rubs, including a Roman Rub , Old English Rub and Ancient Greek Rub , blending herbs and spices were from these different periods.

Going Kosher - 14/07/08

Alan will be launching a Kosher Ale- Gar in October to meet the growing demand within this market sector.

Launching Fair Trade Chocolate in New York - 28/06/2008

Alan is pleased to announce that he will be assisting in the media launch of Fair Trade Chocolate in New York USA .

Alan will be taking some of America's top journalists on a culinary journey revealing the history and origination of chocolate whilst sampling the Divine product range.

Fairtrade is a strategy for poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Its purpose is to create a tool for development that ensures disadvantaged farmers and workers in developing countries get a better deal through the use of the international Mark.

Alan goes to Hollywood! - 17/04/2008

Alan Coxon has been chosen to judge at this year’s International Restaurant and Hotel Awards held in Beverly Hills, Hollywood. The Awards are considered to be the Oscars of the hospitality industry, and celebrates the chains and groups that go beyond industry standards.

The Awards will feature entries from 45 different countries as well as some of the best known hoteliers in the world, such as the Ritz-Carlton, Hilton Hotels, Marriott International and many more.

Coxon is honoured by the appointment to the salubrious panel of international judges and proud to represent the British arm for the Awards.

Voted in the Top 10 - 17/04/2008

In a recent poll by BBC Food, TV chef Alan Coxon was voted amongst the Top 10 TV Chefs of the World.
Commissioned by BBC Food, the poll canvassed opinions from 100 different countries, and puts Alan alongside 150 of the world’s most recognised TV chefs such as Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Gary Rhodes, Anthony Worrell Thompson, Ainsley Harriet, and Rick Stein.

Alan said, “There is a huge selection of big names in the line up, so I’m absolutely delighted to be included in the final top 10. It also gives me immense pleasure knowing that this vote was by the TV viewers from around the globe, and I would like to thank them deeply for their support.”.

Going ‘Head To Head’ for Sky International Property Channel - 17/04/2008

Alan’s latest TV series called ‘Head to Head’, also featuring Toyah Wilcox, Richard Orford and Paul Bloxham. The show, airing on the sky International Property Channel (Sky Channel 287), looks at property investment in different countries of the world, whilst exploring regional culture and cuisine. Each show lasts 60 minutes, and sees Alan and Richard pit their wits and culinary skills against Toyah and Paul, as they go "Head to Head".
